Notes
An intense, provocative and angry way of setting Konrad Bayer's sad and fragile poem to music. Originally, Willi Warma wrote the music/arrangement and Ronnie Urini then claimed to have co-composed it. This is conclusively refuted since Willi Warma's demo version of the song was finally released in 2008 on the album Stahlstadtkinder. The refrain means approximately: "This is funny / this appeals to me / this is the perishing." Author Konrad Bayer, member of the "Wiener Gruppe" (Vienna Group), committed suicide long years before this song was recorded. Surprisingly, the record was sometimes played on Austria's pop radiostation Ö3 in 1983 and even charted in Ö3's Top 25.
Years after, Ronnie Urini dedicated the song "Konrad Bayer Is Dead" to the late poet.
The punk version of "Niemand Hilft Mir" on this single is different from the version appearing on the 1985 LP Child Of Sunrise, Creature Of The Moon.
"Niemand Hilft Mir" also appears on Aus Den Kellern Der Nacht (originally released in 1983) and on 20th Century Hits (there, remastered and revised - with a new intro).
