Later during the Mama Tour, Genesis played at the L.A. Forum for three nights commencing on 12 January 1984. Portions of these shows were recorded by Westwood One and sent to radio stations in the U.S for broadcast in April of that year. During this particular show, Phil says "It's Saturday night and we're going to have some fun..." pinpointing the 14th as one of the nights used for this recording. Illegal Alien and Its Gonna Get Better from 14 January show have turned up on the Genesis - Archive #2 1976-1992 box set, however, since the version of Its Gonna Get Better on THIS set differs from that of Archive box set, we now know that the radio show version is from 13 January. So this set contains songs recorded on at least two separate nights in L.A. This exact set was repackaged by Westwood One for broadcast in October of 1984 under Genesis - Westwood One Superstars Concert Series # PAN 84-2.
