"subCCultured: the rise of DIY rock in corpus christi (1985-1995)" is a music documentary chronicling the evolution of the underground music scene in Corpus Christi, Texas. The project features excerpts from more than 25 interviews with musicians, zine editors, show promoters and fans. The film features interviews by members of the following bands: Angkor Wat, Anialator, Childman, Devastation, DMZ, The Krayons, Joywax, Nimbus, Pure Hate, Selk, Sintegrity, Subversion, Sufferance, The Willies and more. First-time filmmaker Richard Guerrero Jr. (operating as Word as Law Productions) spent four years interviewing musicians, collecting photos and video and editing the movie. A "Rough Cut Edition" of the film was publicly screened at the House of Rock in Corpus Christi on December 26, 2012, which led to additional interviews and asset submissions. The "Definitive Edition" DVD, which is available as a DVDigipack, will see official release on April 1, 2014.Barcode and Other Identifiers
