Impractical Cockpit has played more than 200 shows to date, and in and attempt to stay in communication with show goers, IPCP through out the years have asked folks to sign their mailing list. Occasionally the list would be reviewed and a cassette tape of live material, studio outtakes, pertinent found sounds or unreleased material would be sent by mail to each person who signed the list. This new Lp "Best of Thanks Tape Volume 2, or Audio Thistory," includes favored excerpts from the VOLUME 2 cassette, made up of studio outtakes, a live radio performance, and incidental jams as well as a segment of postapocalyptic field recordings of the desolate streetscapes of New Orleans just 3 weeks following Hurricane Katrina with most of the city deserted.
